Topography - Linhares is located 100% in the so-called Mata Atlantica, the Atlantic rainforest on the east coast of Brazil.

 

Description - We dedicate this cocoa to the Brazilian writer Jorge Amado. With his impressive novel "Cacau", he has given us an insight into olden times, when cocoa farming was dominated by goldgrass.

 

The dreadful cultivation and living conditions of distant times, when slavery was everyday life, should lead us to the correct trade.

 

Our cocoa comes from the Fazenda Ceara in the municipality of Linhares. There are about 16 workers on the farm. Together with their families, the workers live in comfortable houses right on the farm. These houses are electrified and have drinking water. The children can go to school on the spot.
