All of REHMANN's creations are made without preservatives. Without preservatives we achieve a shelf life of max. 10 weeks for our THIMBLES, the ACETO PEARLS and our MINISSERTS. QUINCE JELLY, CHOCOLATE DOTS and NERO can be stored for a maximum of 5 months. Our Swiss Bean to Bar chocolate bars are distinguished with a shelf life of 9 months. A longer shelf life would be feasible for some of our products, however are not align with our quality philosophy. Of course, a correct storage supports the shelf life of our products.
 
 
 
Colourants
Artificial dyes are not an issue for us. The natural colors of the raw materials are less intense, but they are natural. Where appropriate, we support these natural color nuances with natural coloring concentrates from powders such as ridges, curcuma etc. A light-protected storage helps to preserve these natural colors.
 
 
Taste & aroma
We are very selective in choosing our raw materials and look for ingredients with the best taste. So it is quite possible for us to obtain products with a convincing taste and intense aromas in the natural way. At times, we support the natural taste with natural or nature-identical flavors. Please maintain a cool storage of our chocolates in their original packaging to avoid loss of aromas.
 
 
Food safety Bean to Bar
Raw cocoa beans, needed for our Bean to Bar chocolate bars, are examined after delivery by a laboratory upon plant protection residues and fungi. The finished cocoa mass is later analysed for microbiology.
