Ghana journey

En route in the Voltaregion in East Ghana.



For our SWISS Bean to Bar long-term project, we went on an exciting trip to Ghana in september 2015.

Accompanied and supported by the association Yayra Glover we travelled together with several agronomists through the cocoa cultivation areas in the region around the Volta lake and near the border with Togo.

 

 

The project Yayra Glover Ltd. Is supported in Switzerland by SECO and well-known Swiss companies as well as the Yayra Glover association of the same name. The company Yayra Glover Ltd. ss devoted to the development of cultivation and distribution for organic cocoa in Ghana. Frontman of the company is Yayra Glover.

 

 

In 2016, REHMANN Schokolade will start producing its own chocolate. From the cocoa bean to the ready-to-eat chocolate bar. An ambitious project, unknown to Switzerland so far. The production of chocolate "Bean-to-Bar" is an international trend. In the chocolate country of Switzerland, this trend unfortunately has not yet arrived. This should change as soon as possible.
